We Can Sort it Out ... Together

Connecting Children of Hoarders in a Safe, Supportive Virtual Community

Desert Road

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - CS Lewis

We HEAL by sharing our stories.

Many adult children of hoarders (aCOH) report emotional wounds that still need healing, even after they've moved out of their childhood environments. You may feel like there are parts of you that were neglected, ignored, shamed, or dismissed during your childhood in a hoarded home. It can feel like you're on a long road, unsure of where you're exactly going and how you're going to get there. Together, we can make space for you to sort it out.

Life can get better. By talking with other people who share the same challenges, we develop resiliency, a deeper understanding of ourselves, and improved self-esteem that can lead us to make positive changes and discover key solutions. We can come to terms with the past and also take the reins of the present moment to live the meaningful and full lives we deserve. We can't wait to hear your story.

How We Connect

We Can Sort It Out

Weekly Virtual Support Group

Mondays, 4:30-5:30 PM; Pacific Time

Are you a child of a hoarder who is still processing your past and would like to chat with other people who have experienced similar challenges? This group exists as an opportunity for children of hoarders to meet face-to-face in a safe, virtual space (using Zoom). We discuss topics and lessons that come with the unique challenges that only other children of hoarders can understand. Together, we can deepen our healing process by compassionately listening to the tales of others and celebrating the strengths and victories of each member of the community. The only requirements: empathy, vulnerability, and a commitment to show up for each participant.
